Peter Haarhoff, I'm 60, semi retired, enjoy riding, and a member of CMA. Was a cruiser but after touring the country with my wife on a Boulevard [practically breaking her back] and having ridden most of the tar roads in the Cape I bought a Super Tenere so should I come across a dirt road, no problem. After putting on 80 000km [in three years] I regretfully wrote my beloved Tenere off and have now been blessed to replace it with the Adventure. Looking forward to getting to know the BMW family and enjoying new experiences on offer.

Hi, I bought a bike originally to commute(KLR650)until I was wiped by a car. Sold the bike and bought a 1100 Shadow cruiser and had this until I got sick of pollishing crome, bought a VSTROM DL 1000 and then Len made me buy a BMW.(No I actually decided to buy a decent bike)I am fine on road, no off road experiance. Married with two kids and now my new baby(the GSA)

I'm a non smoker.I'm riding a grey and silver 2011 model 1200 GS Adventure and loving it. Mostly using it for commuting from G/Bay (where I stay) to Wetton and back - weather permitting! However - Love taking rides along coast line from G/Bay to Hermanus as well as Franschoek & Ceres.
